The de Havilland Aircraft Company was founded in 1920 when Airco (of which Geoffrey de Havilland had been chief designer and owner), was sold to BSA. Geoffrey de Havilland then set up a company under his name in September 1920 in Edgware, England. The company later moved to Hatfield in Hertfordshire, England. De Havilland Aircraft Company produced the first passenger jet and other innovative aircraft.

The de Havilland DH.88 Comet was a twin-engined British aircraft that won the 1934 MacRobertson Air Race, a challenge for which it was specifically designed. It set many aviation records during the race and afterwards as a pioneer mail plane. The only flying example is based at the Shuttleworth Collection, Old Warden.
You can find recordings of that aircraft here. It is very rare for the aircraft to fly although the aircraft is sometimes taxied at summer airshow events.

The aircraft is not currently flown but they do a fast taxi along the airfield prior to some displays.

The de Havilland DH.100 Vampire was a British jet-engine fighter. The DH.100 Vampire was commissioned by the Royal Air Force during the Second World War, and was the second jet fighter to enter service with the RAF, after the pioneering Gloster Meteor. Although the Vampire arrived too late to see combat during the war, it served with front line RAF squadrons until 1955, and continued in use as a trainer until 1966. The Vampire also served with many air forces worldwide, and set aviation firsts and records.
