The Avro Anson was an Armstrong Siddeley Cheetah IX radial engined British twin-engine, multi-role aircraft that served with the Royal Air Force, Fleet Air Arm and numerous other air forces during the Second World War and afterwards, originally designed for maritime reconnaissance. It was soon rendered obsolete but rescued from obscurity as a multi-engine air crew trainer.
